The ‘Scarlett’? spiked sandals being offered by Sam Edelman immediately remind me of Ruthie Davis’ Spikette styles (and in a looser fashion, some of Louboutin’s & Rodarte’s past offerings). Let’s take a peek Hermes Fashion.
Ruthie Davis ‘Spikette’ and ‘Spikette Deluxe’. Limited styles available via Endless.com & RuthieDavis.com $895 – $1195.
The Edelman’s feel strongly designer-inspired -? à la Ruthie Davis’, et al.
And yes, I do *love, love, LOVE* the Ruthie Davis shoes. But, I honestly can’t justify the expense involved in the purchase of them, more’s the pity.? Would that beauty and uniqueness were the only factors that I need to consider when planning my shoe purchases – Alas, this is simply not the case.
Luckily, my love of the deep blues has me swooning over Edelman’s richly-hued ‘Scarlett’ pumps.? I had thought I was ‘over’ the whole spiked-and-studded shoes trend – managing to escape without any actual acquisitions in that trend department – until these caught my eye.? With a little bit of patient budgeting, I just might be able to finagle a pair of these baby’s? into my shoe-wardrobe.
On a side note, I showed these to Hubby. His reaction was one of controlled horror. I’m pretty sure he was envisioning all of the various ways I might manage to injure myself or others with such wickedly-armored shoes.
